  1. This is Chao Yu Hsuan (Shana) from group 13. About Covid-19, I get some information form up-to-date. There is plenty of useful information. (Link: https://www.uptodate.com/contents/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19#H3392906512 Also, I ‘ve subscribed to a youtube channel called Osmosis which post some medical knowledge with animation for people easily to understand. Recently the channel just posts some videos about Covid-19. We can quickly know
the disease and the prevention in only 10 mins. (Here’s the video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKpVMivbTfg&t=67s) .As the information above,
I learned that there’s no vaccine for Covid-19 now. Remdesivir, which used to treat Ebola, is expected to be the medicine to cure Covid-19, but this medicine is only a phase 2 clinical trial(only study on animals), Remdesivir is now under a new clinical trial to test it is work for Covid-19. Another breaking news I learned yesterday is that
the drug used to treat Malaria and SLE- Hydroxychloroquine may be the one to cure Covid-19. This clinical trial is studied in France. (https://www.mediterranee-infection.com/wpcontent/uploads/2020/03/Hydroxychloroquine_final_DOI_IJAA.pdf )The sample number is 36 patients, and the result shows that patient that treat with hydroxychloroquine can be cured in one week. What’s more? If hydroxychloroquine combined with azithromycin, the viral load disappeared more quickly than only use Hydroxychloroquine.
It seems that hydroxychloroquine is the best choice to cure Covid-19 now, but if we look deeply about the dosage, this clinical trial used. The dosage of hydroxychloroquine is 600mg daily. Due to the drug imitation, we know the limit of hydroxychloroquine daily is 400mg. If the dosage is over 400mg or uses the drug for a long time (5years), the patients may have a side effect- high risk of retinopathy.

Covid-19 has become the universe pandemic. I hope we can overcome this hard situation soon.:)

  4. My name is LIN,YI-NAN (Louis) of Group 14. There have been many serious confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Europe recently, such as Poland, Germany, Italy, Britain, etc.
As a result of this outbreak, governments and prime ministers have implemented national lock-up policies, closed borders and self-isolation measures, such as wearing masks, washing hands frequently, self-disinfection, and avoiding grouping.
However, there are still many people with poor epidemic prevention not complying with this behavior, which has led to the spread of the epidemic. I think this is a very serious matter. Under the situation that the global epidemic of COVID-19 is expected to end as soon as possible, I hope people from all countries Can implement autonomous isolation measures.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Asia,it spreads to other western countries recently. The disease is getting more and more serious in Europe countries such as United Kingdom ,Spain,Italy and so on.The thorny point of dealing with the virus is that there is no vaccine or therapy to cure or prevent from it.The only way for protect ourselves from being infected by the virus is to wash our hands often, wear mask in the public area, and avoid clustering. Many countries closed their borders , request people who enter their country to stay at home for 14 days without going out and even request schools to go on internet courses to control the disease. In Taiwan people who doesn't obey the rule to stay at home for 14 days after their return from foreign countries will be fined up to one million NT dollars.
I think Taiwan sets up a good example for others countries in the face of COVID-19 .First, Taiwan takes immediate measures to face the virus as soon as we knew the virus outbreak in China, calling for people to wear masks and check their body temperature in the public area.Second, the government limit the export of masks to ensure the supply will be enough in Taiwan.Last but not least, the health care insurance combine the peoples' data with their travel history. In so doing, the government can know where do the patient came back from and where should they be infected.
Actually,it surprised me that people in western countries think "only people who get sick seriously should wear mask" and even be afraid of getting close to someone wears mask.I think this concept is totally incorrect , because wearing masks not only protect ourselves but also protect others.Sick people wear mask to prevent from spreading bacteria and virus to others, while healthy people wear mask to protect themselves from being infected with other kinds of pathogens in the environment. The health of the world needs everyone to protect .

    OdpowiedzUsuń
  6. Thank you Jenny for the input. I agree that Taiwan introduced precaution measures early enough to prevent spread of the virus. Wearing masks is a habit in Asian countries even without such a serious viral threat and so it was easier to convince people to wear masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope it will become more customary in Poland to protect ourselves and others by wearing masks.

The best way to prevent disease is staying at home and reducing the chance of being in touch with people, so I haven’t been out for a week. During the break of Covid-19 I often use Netflix to watch videos. There are many interesting and English-speaking videos that can help me improve English listening. I think this is very helpful. In addition, I also search for recipes on the Internet and make delicious meals with limited ingredients. These things make me less boring at home.
Hope everyone can stay safe and have a good time.

  9. Hi, I am Christina Lee from group 1 (American Program).

Viruses have always existed and they continually evolve and change. Growing up, I've been taught of commonly known viruses such as Ebola, Rabies, Influenza, HIV, Smallpox, and SARS-CoV and their main trait of being more contagious than the one before. When I heard about the Coronavirus and its rapid spreading, I knew that this was not only a very contagious virus, but an aggressive one. The precautions I take are three main things: self-quarantine/social distancing, disinfecting, and exercising. In terms of transmission, COVID-19 spreads through infectious droplets from people coughing or sneezing so being at home and not being in contact with people seems like the most effective remedy. I only go out for groceries and laundry. When I come home, I immediately wash my hands for one minute and use disinfecting wipes to clean my groceries. Lastly, I want to maintain a strong immune system so I take vitamin pills and exercise thirty minutes every morning.

How I deal with stress is by staying busy with school work. After studying, I read many online books, play my ukulele, watch movies, and talk to my family and friends almost everyday. I know that hospitals and people who are actually sick have most stress and problems so if I compare my situation with theirs, I put myself in perspective and don't feel as burdened.

I have been informed by many articles, news, friends, and social media that social distancing and self-quarantine is the best way to deal with COVID-19. Avoiding people and traveling is the smartest way to avoid this deadly virus. I know that people who feel sick should wear masks and gloves to prevent droplets from their mouth to spread because people have claimed sick with the COVID-19 even with the mask on. But like I have mentioned before, self-quarantine, social distancing, and keeping your mind busy are the best ways to keep healthy.

I have not heard of any new recommendations but from the World Health Organization website, it advises the people to "avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth", "wash your hands frequently", "maintain social distancing", and "practice respiratory hygiene". 10. My name is Ania Kogut I am in group 1 of the American program. On March 14th, my family and I decided that it was best for me to return home to Canada. Travelling during the pandemic caused a great deal of stress as I had layover in countries like Germany where there are thousands of cases. After my 10-hour travels, I finally arrived home and I was placed under a 14-day quarantine period. Which I am still currently undergoing (Day 13), but I am well and healthy!!
Here in Canada, provinces are in lockdown too, only essential services are open. Schools and universities have finished in class learning for the year and have moved everything online. I personally believe all this out west could have been avoided if countries just started acted quicker. We are approx. 2-weeks behind Poland. If Canada and the USA would’ve followed precautions such as closing the boarders sooner, the curve might have been flattened.
The best precautions to take right now during this time, is STAY INSIDE! If you do not need to go out, DON'T! Wash your hands constantly! Keep your hands away from your face! One of the main problems is people are going out even though they are not supposed to. Here in Canada the government are forcing new laws called the “Quarantine Act” that if you have come back from an abroad country you have to do mandatory 14-day quarantine. If you fail to stay inside, you will be fined and/or will serve jail time. So best thing to do right now is just stay in.
Some ways to destress during this time is to do some home exercises or yoga, maybe paint on your free time. The wonderful thing about technology is you can facetime your friends and still talk to them face to face with social distancing. So, I highly recommend that! Also, one of the important things to keep in mind is that don’t believe everything you read on the news! I feel like some things are being blown out of proportion and could even be considered as “fake news”. Just keep that in mind!
One of the new things I’ve learned about the virus is that in New York they are rolling out clinical test trials for anti-malaria drug Hydroxychloroquine and the antibiotic Azithromycin. The patients who are hospitalized with moderate or severe coronavirus will be eligible to receive the treatment. The trials are still undergoing, but it’s one foot  forward.

I hope you are all well!! Stay Safe!!

    1. Thank you Ania. The precaution measures are similar here in Poland - people are obliged to stay at home, even if they are not in quarantine. Majority of people stick to the new rules and do not go outside without a good reason. However, I have just heard about two big parties being organized here in Lublin and which had to be stopped by police. Amazing how irresponsible people can be. Stay well!

  11. Hi, I'm Wu, Wen-Ting (Wendy) in group2.
During the quarantine, I tried to get the information of the coronavirus through some youtube channel and news. As we can see, coronavirus has been spreading rapidly across the world and a third of the global population is on coronavirus lockdown. So the prefix corona comes from the Latin word for crown and it's actually due to or named for the crown-like appearance of the virus. There's no specific treatment for COVID-19 so prevention is better than cure. The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is by wearing a mask, washing our hands, and practicing social distancing. According to the information I obtained on the internet, COVID-19 is especially dangerous for older patients because our immune function declines with age and they have a higher prevalence of the chronic disease. So we better look after our older loved ones carefully. Quarantine is a tough challenge for me, but on the bright side, I can use the free time to strengthen my immunity by getting enough sleep. : )

  12. I am HUANG, YU-CHIEN from Group 2. I decided to fly back to Taiwan the second I realized that there might be shortage of food and daily supply. I’m currently still under quarantine in Taiwan. I spent most of my time organizing the overwhelming pdfs and dealing with random homework that just popped out of nowhere. As of precaution, since my sister is also flying back from LA, it’s basically us staying in our room and to keeping distance with our family. One of the toughest measures personally is not being able to have meals with my family. I would have to eat alone in my room, which is a must if I want keep my parents from potential infections. The way I deal with pressure is to remind myself of how worse it’ll be if I’m still staying in OMEGA, with all those flooded bathrooms and the smell that came from the sink, the pressure of quarantine is instantly washed away. I believed that I’m grateful to spend maybe two weeks or more back home.

One of the most interesting thing I’ve seen recently is that someone believes that every disaster comes with a lesson to the mankind. For COVID-19, the fact that almost everyone has the potential to be affected, proved that people are somehow borne the same. Being at the top of the hierarchy doesn’t make you immune to COVID-19. It could be passed on to anyone at anywhere. As of today, even Boris Johnson have been tested positive, whom would be able to declare immune to such virus?

What we needed to do is to keep each other in place, and to realized that the best way to prevent it from spreading is by taking care of yourself. One of the main difference in the measures taken in Europe and Taiwan is that government in Taiwan has told people to wear masks no matter if they are sick or not, which is different from what WHO has been telling the world. Indeed that those that are sick should be wearing masks, but there are a huge portion of patients are found asymptomatic. They might not have a fever, but they are still affected and possibly contagious. There is no telling whether people on the streets are sick or not, so the best way is to protect yourself, and thus, wearing masks whenever you go outdoors, and always wash your hands and sanitize before you eat. There is no way to force everyone to wear masks or to stay in their house during quarantine, the best we could do is to keep ourselves safe, and to minimize the harm COVID-19 is doing to us.

After founding out that Taiwan, which is located so near the PRC, with its population of almost 24 million, very densely populated, and only about 200 COVID-19 cases, I believe it has been proven that the precautions taken in your country are only right. Maybe even WHO is wrong about the necessity to wear masks even if not infected?

During the quarantine, I think it is important to washing hand frequently. In order to prevent from the virus, we need to decrease the time of staying outdoor. Also , we need to have a regular life during in our home. Most of my family and friends are in Taiwan. So, I will contact with them by my cell phone to that them know I find in Poland now .
According to some news, I knew that number of infected people have increase everyday . The risk of going out door is higher every day. so , it is very important for everybody that take care ourselves in the moments. Eat something that is good for body immune system.Open the window every morning to that the air convection.
Most of the important thing is to washing the hands before you enter the door

  14. I am MING TING , ZHENG(Tom) from group 6. Since the outbreak in Wuhan, China, I have been seriously taken this issue seriously. This COVID-19 Virus is very similar to the outbreak of SARS virus in 2003.
(I was only 6 years old then)

Taiwan suffered greatly in that time ,some patients and doctors died at that time . Since it was a unknown virus then , nobody knew the exact precaution and medication to this coronavirus.

The only and most effective method to this disease or say coronavirus is the vaccine. But the mutation of the virus and the stunning spread speed contributed to massive patients in a couple of months. Although the majority of the patients would recover from the disease by his or her autoimmune system . To those who are elder and patients with chronic disease are vulnerable to this virus. Also , those who infected with the viruses may not develop the symptoms , or just some mild symptoms like Cough and discomfort . Also, the body temperature might not rise up even you are infected with the coronavirus . Some some people will not know that they are infected with the virus. also, those who recovered from the disease might have a second infection with the disease.even the patients recovered from the disease, their respiratory system might suffered some irreversible damage .their ability to exchange the air might become lesser compared with normal people. In this case , the outbreak of the virus and massive confirmed cases are possible once the local government do not take it seriously. The mask and the proper sanitary procedure are needed to fight against the virus. After all , we do not know the guy beside you whether meet someone else in some place .

For now , the most effective way to combat the coved-19 is to wash hands with soap frequently, and wear mask if you are exposed to the crowded place or in a closed place like in the airplane. Aware not to go to crowded place and avoid contact with people if it is not necessary.

For now, the China government seemed have a good control of the virus outbreak in China . Also , Taiwan do a great job in this outbreak of virus. Some people in Europe and USA doubt the necessity of wearing mask so frequently ,yet we Asians proved to be very useful and necessary to fight against the disease.in war , the weapons are knives and guns , but in virus battle, the main weapon are mask and soap . The quarantine of infected people or suspected people still play an important role in fighting against the virus , even in this advanced modern society. This method might seems to be old , but still useful.

  16. I'm Wang , Yu- Cheng from group 4 . There has been a while since the coronavirus has spread through the world and became pandemic . Although the virus originated from asian area ,people all over the world have been influenced significantly . During this quarantine , whether go home or stay in Poland have been a tough decision for us . Few of my friends have flied back to Taiwan since the class was postponed . In my opinion , there was no right or wrong in such situation . Go back home may be more safe but its also an enormous risk whether people would be infected while taking the public transportation . At last , with my discussion with my parents , I decided to say in Poland and keep alart through this critical moment.
As soon as I know the classes has been postponed , I have went to several markets to stockpile the necessity of our daily lives . I have also started to wear a mask everytime I go out and everytime I am back to home , I remind myself to wash hands carefully . To be honest , staying indoor for such a long time isn’t a simple task . I am sometimes bored and even depressed . The way I deal with the stress pressure can divided into two parts . First and foremost , I release my stress by frequent communication . I often facetime or talk with my friends and families online . Without specific topic , we just chat and relax through the procedure . Everytime I finised a conservation or a chat , I feel amused and cheery. The second method is to watch some TV series or animies from internet platform such as Netflix .
At this critical period , it is our duty do obey to government’s law and stay indoor as possible as we can . On top of that , it is also our responsibility to follow the lately update news about the virus . As an old saying goes “Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. ”The more we care about this issue , the more we can keep ourselves and others help . Wish we can encounter such disaster immediatelty.

  17. I’m Chen, Yun-Yu (Cynthia) from group3.

Best way to avoid COVID-19 or any disease is to stay away from crowd and social distancing.
Even though it’s a very obvious thing to do (and lots of people already know they should do so), but they just can’t help going to others’ places/room, which makes me nervous.
Before the outbreak, I’d been quite nervous and cautious about the surroundings, yet people still take it lightly and say I’m too suspicious about the whole situation, which makes me mad. And as I refuse their invite, they just can’t realize how bad the situation is.
And now, 3 weeks from the school shutdown, those people are the most nervous about whether they have COVID-19 or not.
So never underestimate a virus, if not treated well, it’ll soon become a pandemic as COVID-19 is. Or else the whole world is going to be like Italy.
Also, about wearing mask, as I talk to my parents about it, they give me a good answer about whether wearing mask or not is the right decision: “if people are actually that cautious about their own health and actually care about whether their sickness will effect others, then the WHO has a point of not letting healthy people wear masks. But COVID-19 is not normal disease or sickness that is obvious, it has its incubation period, so no symptoms will show within the 14 days. Due to this, no one will realize whether they have gotten COVID-19 or not by easy test, and that’s why wearing mask is the only option here - to protect yourself and to protect others.”
Because if this, I disagree with WHO’s idea of only sick people should wear masks and healthy people shouldn’t have the reason to wear mask.

  18. I am LI TUNG CHIH MING(Melody) in group 3. I’m staying here in Lublin. The precautions that I take are washing hands frequently, using hand sanitizers, and wearing masks. During this period of time the two main things I do are cooking and baking. I buy different kinds of ingredients and try those dishes that I haven’t done before. I also watched a lot of videos, some novels and dramas. It’s actually not a very big problem or stress for me to stay at home. Staying at home I can do some things that I’ve never done before or I really want to do it but I don’t have time during school days.
The coronavirus is posing a very big thread to the world and to the people no matter who you are. Right now there are no vaccines and scientists and researchers are looking for medication to fight against coronavirus. Many countries don’t have enough medical resources. With more and more people getting the virus, it is becoming a huge problem.
I want to talk about something that’s a bit different. During this time, fortunately, we have the internet. With this, people can share their quarantine life , share the news, keep in touch with their family and friends. Some people start to film vlogs about making food, working out, tips for photo editing and so on. Some people join Tik Tok(an app about doing videos). There are a couple of celebrities donate a lot of money or raise funds to help their country. Through the internet, people can help each other in unconventional ways such as donating money online.
I hope when this outbreak ends, people can cherish everything they had and learn the lesson. When something similar happens in the future, they can take better action to deal with it

There are some general methods to avoid the disease. For example, the best way to do is stay home and avoid any gathering. Also we can wash the hand before and after meals.
In addition, the mental health in this time is more important than before because there are too many stress now. Most people who become infected experience mild illness and recover, but it can be more severe for others. Take care of your health and protect others by doing the following:

    Wash your hands frequently
Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.

    Maintain social distancing
Maintain at least 1.5 metre distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

It is a good opportunity for me to catch up with my Thai’s friends as they are all good cookers. I also spending my time watching movie, drawing photos, designing some stuffs on my laptop. Besides, other subject teachers are still kept sending us homework every week as normal. It is very challenging as I realized that it is very tough to study without teacher teaching in-front of us. I spent my time researching up some new knowledge related to the subjects, it’s quite enjoyable doing a self-study.
The precautions I use during the break of COVID-19 is do not go out to anywhere if not necessary. Secondly, if I would need to go out, I will bring along my hand sanitizer, mask and sometimes gloves for protection during shopping.

I think there are another event to discuss. Now, because of China, Most Chinese are discriminated, When I go to the market, some people will curse and stare at me, I fell so helpless. I would not be surprised if I was attacked by others. But I won't be frustrated, because this virus influence all the people. I just hope all the people can take care. Also take the mask when go outside and wash hand. Why Taiwan only got hundreds of cases but we near China? Because we don’t trust China and WHO. We have the experience at 2003 about SARS. So, we know mask can protect. Lots of people still think wearing mask is someone who has seriously ill, if healthy people wearing mask they laugh at them. That is a big problem. The virus maybe not cause death but will leave sequelae.

    1. Thank you Dale for the input - I think WHO is starting to realize their mistake about the masks. They should be changing their recommendations on that soon. Taiwan did prove them wrong.

  29. My name is YEH, YING-JUNG, I am in group 9. Due to COVID-19 the Polish government had announced certain policies to closed all the international flight so I am still staying in Lublin.

On April 4th we can see the total cases infected by COVID-19 are 1,139,207 from Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU). Now the situation is severe and I am worried about that.

Here is the new information about COVID-19
(Where things stand on potential COVID-19 treatments options:) from Dr. Mehmet Oz 's Facebook account.

    (1) Convalescent plasma therapy remains promising.
New York state announced the start of trials with convalescent plasma therapy on 3/24. The Journal of the American Medical Association published a case series on 3/27 evaluating plasma therapy in five COVID-19 patients. These five patients with COVID-19 and ARDS had severe pneumonia with rapid progression, high viral load despite anti-viral treatment, and were treated with convalescent plasma transfusion. Several patients saw clinical improvement. However, this is a very small, uncontrolled sample, and we still need larger scale clinical trials to draw any conclusions.

    (2) Chloroquine phosphate/hydroxychloroquine (alone) or (in combination with Azithromycin) – also promising.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo revealed that New York state had acquired 70,000 doses of hydroxychloroquine, 10,000 doses of Zithromax (azithromycin), and 750,000 doses of chloroquine to use in trials last week.
A study with Dr. Didier Raoult as one of the authors saw that hydroxychloroquine treatment is significantly associated with viral load reduction and/or disappearance in COVID-19 symptoms when its effect are reinforced by azithromycin. (20 cases treated - 16 cases as controls).
A more recent case series from Dr. Raoult found the use of hydroxychloroquine and Z-Pak resulted in a rapid fall of nasopharyngeal viral load. Virus cultures from patient respiratory samples were negative in 97.5% of patients at Day 5. This experiment had no control group so it’s impossible to know how these patients would have done without the medication combination. The case series is pre-print and needs to be peer reviewed as well. There are at least 20 more ongoing trials with these drugs that don’t yet have results

    (3) Remdesivir – remains promising.
NIH's clinical trial of Remdesivir to treat COVID-19 began on 2/25/20. This was the first clinical trial in the United States to evaluate an experimental treatment for COVID-19. The study enrolled hospitalized adults with COVID-19 in Nebraska.
On 3/15/20 Gilead Sciences started a Phase 3 trial to Evaluate Remdesivir in participants with moderate and severe COVID-19. Trial involves the United States (California and Washington), Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan. As of 3/19 no results - they currently recruiting participants.

  30. Hello,my name is Hsiung,Pei-Ching from group 8. All of the courses got canceled because of the COVID-19. Due to my parents’ concern, they made me go back to Taiwan as soon as possible. When I got back to home, they spread the alcohol all over my stuffs, like my bags, clothes and luggages and I immediately started my quarantine. It was a little bit tough for the first few days cuz it really didn’t feel well to stay at home all day without seeing any people or going out. I had to spread everything that I had touched but I was pretty enjoyed it! These are the best way to avoid the viruses and to protect my family and friends. I’ve never felt so good after finished the 14-day quarantine! About the prevention in Taiwan , you can see everybody wearing masks everywhere! They won’t even let you get on the transportation without wearing masks. Every public places like department stores, they will help you take the temperatures and there are always alcohol spray machine outside or inside the buildings. I feel so safe here. I think everyone should wear the masks all the time and washing your hands frequently! If there’s no necessary, just stay at home! I found out there are so many things you can do during the quarantine. These tips are the best ways to fight with the Corona virus!

  31. I'm HUANG, PO-YU (Brian) from group 8. Since the epidemic of COVID-19 has been outbreak in China, I start to follow media and news for the latest information of it. After discussion with family, my decision is to go back to Taiwan. Although it will put myself in high risk of getting infect by COVID-19 during the flight and transporting. As soon as I return home in Taiwan, I start the two week self-quarantine period and keep myself at least 1.5 meter from others, clean every thing I've contact with disinfection alcohol, and avoid to use the same tableware with others. Fortunately I'm fine here in Taiwan and hope those how suffer from this virus can cure soon!

  32. This is Chang, Chia- Ning (Alex) from group 5. How you doing? I’m quite used to staying at home since the COVID-19 outbreak, so I’m doing fine. During the suspension, I learned a couple of new dishes from YouTube channels and worked out at home. In order to lower the possibility of getting it, I prepared 75% alcohol to spray on door handles, washed hands constantly and wore a mask when going to grocery store. Speaking of the news of coronavirus, researchers have identified a potential new drug target, mapping two critical proteins last week. Feel free to click the link below~

  33. I'm Daisuke Yokozeki from group7. I am currently in Lublin. In Japajn, my country, the number of infected people continues to increase explosively. The reason is that the Japanese government did not issue a declaration of emergency until 6 April. Until 6 April, bars, nightclubs, and other gathering places continued to operae. At present, Japan has also been banned like Poland.
I hope this situation will end soon.

  34. This is Megan from group 8.Although I want to fly back to Taiwan, considering the current situation, the airport is very dangerous, and after discussing with my parents and classmates, I decided to stay in Poland.
The information I want to share about the Corona virus is that I noticed that people in Poland rarely wear masks. I wonder if this may be the cause of the difference in infection between Taiwan and Poland, because Taiwanese people even before the virus broke wear mask.
As for my precautions, every time I go out, I have to wear a mask and gloves and wash my hands when I get home.
